"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope."

~ Robert F. Kennedy

This is riddering's political journal. The place where I go to post about U.S. politics, global events, news media, influential figures, and history; created to make my thoughts on these matters optional rather than inflicted on readers of my main journal who have no interest in such discussion. My thick privileged hide has developed a social conscience in the past months and so I no longer feel the burning desire to discuss fiction, Rather, I want to try to grasp what is going on in the world and put critical thinking to work as well as look to the past and grab as many lessons as I can from men and women who have done so work for us--work that is too often ignored or lost.
